C5/C6 Registry at Sebring 2005

The Prodrive Aston Martin and the C6R battled throughout the race. Unfortunately, due to an exploding brake disc on the #3 Corvette, this is the way they finished the race.

This ex-Pratt & Miller C5-R was campaigned throughout the 2003 season. PCMRacing is campaigning the car this year and finished a respectable 10th overall and fifth in GT-1.

The #3 C6R driven by Fellows/O’Connell/Papis led for most of the first eight hours. Unfortunately, a failed brake rotor put the storming Vette one lap behind the winning Aston Martin at the checkered flag.

The #4 car inherited the GT-1 lead after the #3 car pitted with a brake rotor failure.
The Vette had an incident with a Porsche, which caused major damage to the right rear suspension. The Pratt & Miller team did an excellent job getting the wounded worrier back on track. Their work paid off as this car finished 3rd in GT-1.

The Corvette Corral was a major hit with fans. GM brought four new Z06 supercars for the fan to drool over. One of the cars was the cutaway displayed at the Detroit auto show. This car is going to be a barnburner.

Lance Miller from Corvettes at Carlisle was one of the many Corvette celebrities spotted at the Corvette Corral. Here Lance listens as this replica Grand Sport owners explains the details of this awesome Vette.

It’s black and bad. The Z06 looks aggressive from any angle.

These early pre-production prototypes all carry EX VIN numbers (Experimental) and probably will be crushed after testing is completed.

Dan Adovasio grabs a quick photo with GM’s Harlan Charles and Nate Love in front of the new Z06.
